Joann Lundberg

LPC ATR-BC
Child & Family Therapy | Art Therapy | EMDR

At a young age Joann discovered the healing power of art as a safe way of accessing confusing feelings that may be difficult or too painful to express verbally. Later on, she discovered EMDR and has found it to be an effective tool for self-empowerment and resolution to break free of past trauma.

When Joann is out of the office, she is often playing in the outdoors, surfing, painting, or practicing yoga.

Formal Education and Training

Joann holds a master’s degree in Art Therapy from Saint Mary of the Woods College. Additionally, she has completed trainings on Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), domestic violence and sexual assault, and attachment disorders.

In addition, she utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective brain-based therapy, primarily used to treat trauma symptoms, but which can be used for a variety of issues clients face.

Joann is a bilingual clinician (English & Spanish) and has worked extensively with Latinos.
